It is a pleasure for us to host friends and share with them some of the things we most delight in. That is why we decided to create our Bed and Brekfast “That’s Napoli”: we wish to extend to visitors to our city the same hospitality and welcome we extend to family and friends.
We have given our B&B the name “That’s Napoli”, hoping it can transmit some of the same sprightly energy of the famous song by Dean Martin, “That’s Amore” and convey at the same time a touch of “Napoletanitá” …with all that implies in imagination, passion, culture and love of tradition.
So we have chosen a sunny apartment in an eighteenth century building located in Via Trinità degli Spagnoli close by the main pedestrian area of Via Toledo, right in the heart of Naples, so that our guests could walk to all major attractions: from the Old Town to the beachfront promenade, from Saint Elmo Castle to the Royal Palace, from the Teatro San Carlo opera house to the ferries to Capri, Ischia, Procida and Sorrento.
We wanted our apartment, completely renovated in 2016, to be an example of an elegant Neapolitan home, where the antique furnishings inherited from our families would find new life in a modern setting. Hints of authentic Neapolitan tradition are found in the hand-painted Stingo tiles adorning the floor in the communal areas. The factory itself originated in the 17th century.
